Biography

Dr Elizabeth Bennett (she/her) is a Lecturer in Drama. Her teaching specialisms include Theatre and Human Rights, Gender and Sexuality in Performance, Voice and Movement, and Writing Lyrics. Elizabeth was awarded the Essex Excellence in Education Award 2022 for her work on developing student voice and engagement. Her monograph, 'Performing Folk Songs: Affect, Landscape and Repertoire', will be published by Bloomsbury in Jan 2024.
