Biography
Yemisi holds a Master of Laws (LLM) degree in Human Rights Law from Birkbeck, University of London and a Bachelor of Laws (LLB) degree at the University of Benin, Nigeria. She is currently a PhD candidate and Assistant Lecturer at the Department of Sociology, University of Essex Colchester, England. Her research interests continues to be in gender-based violence among women and girls from Sub-Saharan Africa, the intersections of gender and immigration, intersectional feminism and feminists perspectives on law.
