Using Thermal Niche Theory to Predict Community Dynamics in Freshwater Ecosystems
At present microbes are largely excluded from climate change research, despite their importance at the base of all food webs. The flow of energy and biomass through food webs is dependent on the species interactions within the bacterial grazer community. These species interactions are likely to change as a result of changes in temperature.
