Essex Partnership University NHS Foundation Trust (EPUT) An NHS Foundation trust providing community health, mental health and learning disability services across Bedfordshire, Essex and Suffolk. The trust offers apprenticeship for healthcare practitioners, with the University of Essex validating their MSc Clinical Associate in Psychology (CAP) Degree. Apprenticeship.

Kaplan Open Learning

Delivers online part-time degree courses, across the UK and internationally, under the title and brand of University of Essex Online.

Tavistock and Portman NHS Foundation Trust

An NHS Foundation Trust providing specialist mental health care. The Trust offers University of Essex validated courses at PGT and PGR level from their main site in London and also from their alternative and associate sites across the UK and in Italy.

Masters and Doctoral courses

University of Essex International College (UEIC) UEIC is operated by Kaplan International Pathways, a private provider which delivers pre-degree and pre-sessional English courses under the title and brand of University of Essex International College. Students who successfully complete a UEIC course are guaranteed to progress to a University of Essex Bachelors or Masters course.  Articulation Arrangement (Foundation, International Year One, Pre-Masters and Pre-sessional English courses)

University of Suffolk

A joint venture between University of Essex and University of East Anglia, with graduating students receiving a joint award from both Universities. The partnership covers Doctoral students who commenced their studies prior to 2016-17.

International academic partnerships

Aegean Omiros College, Greece Aegean Omiros College (AOC) is a Greek government licensed college with sites in Athens, Piraeus and Larissa. AOC offers undergraduate and postgraduate masters’ degrees, predominantly in Greek with a small number being taught in English, under validation from the University of Essex. Chulalongkorn University, Thailand Chulalongkorn University,  established in 1917, was Thailand’s first institution for higher education learning. The partnership with Chulalongkorn provides students the opportunity to receive a double degree from both the University of Essex and Chulalongkorn University.

Kaplan Singapore is a subsidiary within Kaplan Inc. Kaplan Singapore delivers courses under a franchise arrangement with the University of Essex, delivering degree courses in Singapore on behalf of the University of Essex.

Laksamana College of Business (LCB) is a private college which is accredited by the Brunei Darussalam National Accreditation Council (BDNAC) and is the joint subsidiary of Kensington College of Business and Abdul Razak Holdings in Brunei. LCB is regarded as one of the leading higher education institutions in Brunei.  Franchise arrangement

Northwest University, China

Northwest University (NWU) located in Xi’an, China, has 3 campuses and 22
schools and departments, and a graduate school. The jointly developed double degree programme is based on an existing University of Essex programme.

Portobello Institute, Ireland Portobello Institute is a Dublin-based private and commercial provider of further education and training. The partnership between Portobello Institute and the University of Essex provides an opportunity to develop a strong offering for both Undergraduate and Postgraduate studies within the Irish Higher Education sector.

Link agreements

Our University has in place a number of link agreements that support the admission of students to study with us. All agreements specify that applications are assessed on an individual basis and students must meet the academic and English language entry requirements for the course.
