The Library

Let's face it, the chances are you're going to be spending quite a lot of time in the library during your stay here. That's why we've made sure they've got everything you could ever dream of to help you with your studies.

With three libraries and 24/7 study facilities, the library is there to make sure everything is at your fingertips. With dedicated quiet study spaces, out of hours chat, one-to-one slots to meet librarians and online resources, the library will help you through your degree no matter what.

You can also have your say and help shape the future of the library by suggesting changes to the Library Advisory Group and proposing new book purchases to help with your studies.

Albert Sloman Library

Overlooking the lakes and parkland at the heart of our Colchester Campus, the Albert Sloman Library is six floors of e-resources, research resources, specialist materials, and of course a whole lot of books. It's the perfect, friendly environment for quiet reading or last-minute essay rushes (you'd never do that though, would you?).

The Forum

You lucky Southend lot have access to The Forum - a state-of-the-art public and academic library with outstanding research and learning facilities. With over 150,000 public, university and college books, and an entire floor dedicated to Essex students, we couldn't be more confident you'll find it a valuable and inspiring place to study.

“The staff always help you find what you need. If we don’t have it, you can fill out an interlibrary loan request.... or you can ask them to add it to their collection. There are also thousands of eBooks available!”
