We are recruiting across a wide range of areas to continue our mission to serve the local, national, and international community through developing the highest quality health and social care professionals, and applied research that transforms practice.
We have an outstanding reputation for inter-disciplinary and inter-professional teaching and research. Our School comprises seven Divisions: Nursing, Oral Health Sciences, Social Work and Social Justice, Psychological Therapies, Occupational Therapy, Speech and Language Therapy, Interdisciplinary Research and Practice. We are recruiting across all subject areas in Health and Social Care and are looking for early career researchers and clinical academics to jump on board with us and enter into the Essex spirit.

Over the last year, our students have been working on the frontline, supported by our staff, who have provided ongoing clinical and professional supervision, and many have engaged in research critical to understanding the impact of COVID-19 on the most vulnerable. At the same time, we have been expanding our portfolio and introducing new and exciting courses, including our recent Masters in Social Work, our new Masters in Global Public Health and a range of new Apprenticeships: Nursing Associates, Speech and Language Therapy and Occupational Therapy. This year we almost doubled our student intake, and this exciting upwards trend is continuing as careers in Health and Social Care become more attractive and appreciated. We are looking to further grow and expand and introduce new disciplines and areas of study in the School, and are inviting applications from people who can help shape and steer our further growth.
We are also inviting applicants from registrants or non-registrants working in areas of health and social care looking to develop as clinical academics, who are working in areas of Public Health, Health Services Research, Clinical Rehabilitation, Quality Improvement, Implementation Science and Clinical Neuropsychology.
