Scholarships and funding

 

Our Academic Excellence International Masters Scholarship scheme offers a £4,000 tuition fee discount to postgraduate students from Turkey achieving CGPA 3.00+ OR 75% at Bachelor's level.

Other funding opportunities for Turkish students include the Jean Monnet programme (external link), Chevening scholarships (external link) and funding from the Turkish Ministry of Education (external link). 

 

Entry requirements

Most of our Undergraduate Bachelor degree courses will consider 70% overall average from Devlet Lise Diplomasi or Lise Birtime Diplomasi. 
 
The majority of our Postgraduate Taught Masters will consider applicants with 2.5 or 60% from Bachelor degree/Lisans Diplomasi.

The department provides a wonderful, friendly environment for study and research. I love the variety of activities such as attending insightful conferences. I am particularly interested in culture, crime and media studies, research on citizenship and identity, and qualitative methods. I find people’s perception of crime and how it has evolved throughout history a very interesting area of study. I really enjoy becoming more knowledgeable within my field and delivering unique and original work.
