Celebrate success

Graduation is a chance to celebrate your hard work and achievements with your friends, family and loved ones.

You can find out more about each Graduation ceremony below.

Winter Graduation

12 & 13 January 2022

Students who have their award conferred in Autumn term and meet the attendance and eligibility criteria will be invited to attend a ceremony at our Winter Graduation across the 12 and 13 January 2022.

A detailed ceremony schedule has now been published along with the dates when tickets will be available to book.

Spring Graduation

28 March - 1 April 2022

Students who would have expected to attend our July 2020 or July 2021 Graduation ceremonies and meet the attendance and eligibility criteria will be invited to attend Spring Graduation. Spring Graduation is being run exclusively for these students.

A detailed ceremony schedule has now been published along. More information, including when tickets will be available to book, will be published shortly.

Eligible students who wish to attend this Graduation, but are unable to do so, should contact graduation@essex.ac.uk. We are committed to offering all students affected by postponed ceremonies the opportunity to graduate in-person with us.

Summer Graduation

18 - 22 July 2022

Dates for our Summer 2022 Graduation have now been confirmed. Students who will have their award conferred between 1 January 2022 and 8 July 2022 will be eligible to attend Summer Graduation.

A detailed ceremony schedule will be published in Spring term 2022, along with the dates when tickets will be available to book.

Your award documentation

Once your award has been conferred, you are officially an Essex graduate – congratulations!

You will receive formal Award Documentation to verify your achievements. All graduates receive an electronic Award Certificate, as well as a printed, hard copy parchment Award Certificate too. All students with taught components to their degree will also receive an academic transcript, which is available online through the Higher Education Achievement Record (HEAR).
