Join us at our Colchester Campus for a day of talks, tours and a chance to ask us your burning questions
Are you a student thinking of coming to University in October 2022 but haven't visited Essex yet?
This Mini Open Day is designed to help you get to know Essex. The day will be shorter than a main Open Day, but if you want to take a look around campus, or just get a feel for the place before you submit your application we're here for you. Maybe you've already applied but haven't visited us yet, whatever the reason, everyone is welcome. Bring your friends and family along too.
Our Mini Open Day will begin at 12.00pm, and will finish at 4.00pm. Please make sure you check-in at the Ivor Crewe Lecture Hall (the big shiny silver building).

Departments and academics will not be available to speak to on the Mini Open Day. However, you can chat with our staff and students online whenever suits you. You can also view our on-demand talks, tasters and tours on our Virtual Open Day Platform.
If you're an undergraduate applicant, looking to join us in 2022, then you will be invited to an Applicant Day later this year where you will be able to meet your department, speak to current students and tour our campus. Alternatively, our Visit Us webpages will be updated when our 2022 main Open Day dates are announced. We'll also be running live online events throughout the year, that will be updated on our Visit Us webpages when confirmed.
Visitors are strongly encouraged to wear a face covering during their visit, particularly in indoor areas. Hand sanitiser stations will be available in all main locations, as well as toilets and hand washing facilities.
Once you’ve booked your place we'll send you a confirmation email. There's no need to print it as we'll have your details at our check in desks on the day – simple!
If you or your guests have any special requirements, please email us in advance so we can make sure your visit is as smooth as possible. If you're a visitor with a disability, please let a member of staff know so they can advise you on accessible routes around campus, or conduct a separate tour if necessary.
Should your contact information change, please drop us an email to let us know your new details so we can make sure you don’t miss out on any important information.
