Undergraduate Mini Open Day - CANCELLED

This event has been cancelled.

Are you an undergraduate student thinking of coming to University in October 2020 but haven't visited Essex yet?

Here's your chance!

Perhaps you want to take a look around campus, view our accommodation or just get a feel for the place before you submit your application. Maybe you've applied but haven't visited us yet, whatever the reason, everyone is welcome. Bring your friends and family along too!

Our Mini Open Day will begin at 9.30am, and will finish at 1.30pm. Please make sure you check-in at the Ivor Crewe Lecture Hall (the big shiny silver building). The day will include:

  • Welcome talk - 10.00am
  • Tours of our campus and accommodation - 9.30am - 12.45pm
  • Accommodation talk - 10.45am
  • Tour of Copse, Quays and Meadows accommodation - By coach, departing from the accommodation talk - 11.10am
  • Student Finance Talk - 11.15am
  • Subject Fair - Meet at 11.30am at the Sport Arena reception - 11.30am - 12.30pm
  • Student Life Talk - 11.45am
  • Employability Talk - 12.15pm
  • Tour of Copse, Quays and Meadows accommodation - By coach, 12.45pm

As this is a Mini Open Day, we are sorry that there won't be any departments present.

We cannot guarantee that all accommodation will be open but we try to ensure a wide variety is available for guests to visit.

Wondering why there are only specific tours to Copse, Quays and Meadows?
Our accommodation is spread across the campus and whilst The Houses, Towers and South Courts are within a 5 minute walk, the Copse, Quays and Meadows are between a 15-20 minute walk from the centre of campus. To help those tired legs and to stop you getting lost, we will be running two organised tours through the day.

Driving onto campus?

Planning to drive to our Colchester Campus? Good news, parking will be free! Please park in Valley Car Park or Car Park B (our parking attendants will be on hand to help) on the south-side of campus which are both close to our Ivor Crewe Lecture Hall. You will need to print and display a parking permit in your windscreen.
