TDC Academic Skills Workshops
Talent Development Centre
To succeed in your studies it is vital for you to be able to both read well, and use that reading in your writing.
This workshop looks at how you can engage with difficult academic texts and use them in your own writing. As well as discussing the practicalities of how you paraphrase, summarise and quote from sources, we will also think about how to engage critically with texts, and how reading relates to writing.
Our workshops run throughout the spring term, and cover all aspects of academic skills. You can also book a 1:1 appointment with an advisor to talk over anything in your studies that you need help with.
Have a browse through the sessions that are available this term, (under the Southend tab), or pop along to TF2.19 to find out more.
The Talent Development Centre is here to help you succeed in your studies and achieve your potential. We offer support and resources to help improve your writing, maths, research, study skills and English language, no matter what your discipline or level of study.
