“Before university, I spent 20 years working as a singer/songwriter. I was self-employed, so I had some marketing experience, but I wanted to enhance my skills and learn more about the wider areas of business. Coming to Essex as a mature student, I found the support from students and staff really encouraging. I gained a placement as a Frontrunner, managing social media and marketing for the School of Health and Human Sciences.”
