Essex Food manage over 10 food and drink outlets at our Colchester Campusfood and drink outlets at our Colchester Campusfood and drink outlets at our Colchester Campus.

Catering service

At Essex Food we work alongside Event Essex in providing delivered catering delivered catering delivered catering delivered catering throughout the year. We work closely with Event Essex during the summer months for conferences and summer schools. Outside catering including graduation are also areas where we are involved.

Our team

Our large team of staff include permanent members along with many on-demand staff, mainly students from the University.

On-demand vacancies

We are often looking for on-demand staff to carry out a variety of duties in our restaurants and cafes on an ‘as and when’ basis, including counter-service, waitressing and cleaning.

If you are a student looking for on-demand work to fit in around your studies, please visit the Essex Food office (room 4NA.6.1) to register your interest or email efood@essex.ac.uk. We can then contact you when a vacancy arises and ask you to complete an application form.

Work permits

Under current immigration/work permit law, Essex Food is unable to accept applications or employ candidates who are not eligible to live and work in the UK.
