We aim to:
When you engage with Space to Grow, you are tapping into the innovative power and partner network of the University of Essex. At Essex, we are all about seizing the right opportunities, making the most of opportunities as they present themselves and developing growth and innovation.
If you need a trusted expert on your side, get in touch by emailing email@example.com.
Our seminars provide both investors and entrepreneurs with guidance on the investment process. Themes range from sales and marketing, to tax advice and how to prepare a pitch deck. Our goal is to deliver the information our business community requires.
These informative and interactive sessions can be followed-up with one-to-one support from our entrepreneurs in residence and mentors. What’s more, as members of the UKBAA, we can offer access to their resources, including discounted training to new investors.

The University Enterprise Zone has been allocated funds by the University of Essex to invest in selected businesses on the Angels@Essex platform. Businesses on the platform can bid for support from this fund. There were two successful funding competitions in 2020, with further competitions planned in 2021. The funding takes the form of a convertible loan, which could match money brought in by successful businesses.
Our team of business experts and mentors has years of experience bringing new products and services to market in a range of sectors. For entrepreneurs, we provide free support to become pitch-ready for investment. For investors, we are a trusted sounding board. Whichever stage you are at, we will support you – or signpost you to the services you need.
