Visit a Museum

ESCALA Art on display in the Silberrad student centre with two female students viewing.

We may have said goodbye to the beautiful Trinta/Treinta/Thirty exhibition celebrating 30 years of Essex’s museum, ESCALA, but did you know that ESCALA has a permanent exhibition here at our Colchester campus?

Take a look around the ground floor of the Silberrad Student Centre next time you visit to explore the artworks on display and immerse yourself - on your own or with a friend - in art from Latin America.

Drag Cabaret

Drag Queen Shar Cooterie stands wearing full drag make up but with no wig and a fabulous pink tiger-print jacket in front of a purple backdrop.

In the mood for some music? Pop music in a swing style? Sung by popular drag performer Shar Cooterie and her pianist, Adam Abo-Henriksen? Don’t miss Shar Cooterie’s Well Swung, performed at the Lakeside Theatre on Saturday 10 February.

The perfect date for those who love to laugh.
