From healthcare in Bahrain to international business in Southend

I chose to study at Essex Business School for its excellent reputation, supportive environment, and commitment to sustainability. Ranked 12th in the UK by the Guardian University Guide, the school offers outstanding academic and personal support.

I originally come from a science background & worked at a hospital in Bahrain. However, after the COVID-19 pandemic, I realised I wanted to take a different path and pursue something that would allow me to grow independently and create impact. I decided to follow my passion for entrepreneurship and study at Essex Business School, choosing to build my own business rather than settle for a 9-to-5 job. I’m so glad and proud that I trusted my instincts, this has truly been one of the best decisions I’ve ever made.

I’m most proud of being part of Essex Startups, where I had the opportunity to pitch my business ideas and won funding three times.

My favourite aspect of my course was the optional extra language module, which I had the opportunity to study for a whole year completely free, with classes held regularly every week. I love learning new languages and exploring different cultures, and this module allowed me to do both while broadening my perspective beyond the core business subjects. I’m especially grateful for the excellent support from my tutor, which helped me pass the class with 90 % in my Spanish course GRACIAS!  Overall, it was an enriching and rewarding experience.

My favourite aspects of life at Essex have been the supportive community and vibrant campus opportunities. Connecting with like-minded classmates, receiving guidance from tutors, and participating in initiatives like Essex Startups have helped me grow academically, personally, and professionally, making my university experience truly fulfilling.

After graduation, I plan to continue growing my wellness business, while also pursuing creative projects like publishing my own book, selling my artwork, and continuing my YouTube channel. I also aspire to travel around the world as a travel influencer, sharing experiences and inspiring others, and to engage in charitable work to give back to communities in meaningful ways. My goal is to combine my entrepreneurial, creative, and personal passions into a fulfilling and impactful career.

My message to anyone reading this is: show up and work on it daily there’s nothing you can’t achieve if you put your mind to it. These experiences helped me grow academically and personally, boosting my confidence, resilience, and skills as an aspiring businesswoman.
