Looking to solve a real challenge with a European team?

Are you up for the challenge of tackling a real-life problem as part of a dynamic multicultural team?

If so, a new entrepreneurship and innovation programme from the Young Universities for the Future of Europe (YUFE) Alliance could be just for you.

Applications are now open to students and staff from the Alliance who are interested in taking part in a programme consisting of two initiatives: the YUFE Challenge Teams and the YUFE Entrepreneurial Programme,

This programme is part of the activities YUFE offers in its commitment to multidisciplinary and multicultural training.

As part of the YUFE Challenge Teams, institutions and companies from different sectors, as well as the general public, have proposed a series of real-life challenges to the working teams that they will need to solve and deliver innovative solutions at social, scientific, and technological levels. This activity will take place in multidisciplinary teams and students can apply to be part of a team until 20 June 2021. More information is on the YUFE website.

The YUFE Entrepreneurial Programme aims to promote student and staff entrepreneurial skills, by guiding participants using training resources that will allow them to acquire these new skills.

There will be two types of resources available - free online open courses and a Talk Shows programme consisting of a series of talks by experts from the field of innovation.

Registration will be required in order to attend all of these activities. More information is on the YUFE website.

Taking part in these activities will allow students to work towards the YUFE Star System, and, in particular, the YUFE Professional Star.

The YUFE Alliance is made up of the following universities: the University of Antwerp (Belgium), the University of Bremen (Germany), the Universidad Carlos III de Madrid (Spain), the University of Cyprus, the University of Essex, the University of Eastern Finland, Maastricht University (The Netherlands) and the Tor Vergata University of Rome (Italy). It also collaborates with six partners: the Nicolaus Copernicus University in Torun (Poland), the University of Rijeka (Croatia), the Educational Testing Service, the European Entrepreneurs CEA-PME, the Kiron Open Higher Education for Refugees, and the Adecco Group.
