Tate Britain conference
Matthew Poole, Programme Director of the Centre for
Curatorial Studies in the Department of Art History, is presenting a
one-day conference at London’s Tate Britain on 28 November.
The event is part of a long-term collaboration with
Dr Jaspar Joseph Lester from Sheffield Hallam University’s Fine Art
Department and Dr Amanda Beech from Chelsea College of Art and Design at
University of the Arts, London, entitled the Curating Video Research
Group.
This conference draws from an international field of
researchers with expertise in art history, political philosophy,
psychoanalysis, cultural and media studies and curation. It will expolore
how the formation of spaces, images and our experiences of them go to
produce and generate belief in lens-based media.
