Tate Britain conference

Matthew Poole, Programme Director of the Centre for Curatorial Studies in the Department of Art History, is presenting a one-day conference at London’s Tate Britain on 28 November.

The event is part of a long-term collaboration with Dr Jaspar Joseph Lester from Sheffield Hallam University’s Fine Art Department and Dr Amanda Beech from Chelsea College of Art and Design at University of the Arts, London, entitled the Curating Video Research Group.

This conference draws from an international field of researchers with expertise in art history, political philosophy, psychoanalysis, cultural and media studies and curation. It will expolore how the formation of spaces, images and our experiences of them go to produce and generate belief in lens-based media.
