Staff survey
A national
benchmark in respect of the Quality of Working Life (QoWL) at universities
is currently being conducted across the sector by the Applied Psychology
Unit at the University of Portsmouth.
As part
of this University staff are being asked to complete an on-line survey.
The data gained will be used anonymously to develop benchmarks for the
sector and will help universities promote good practice and plan changes
that will lead to a healthier workplace.
The
survey measures a broad range of factors across both work and non-work
life domains, including job and career satisfaction, general well-being,
home-work interface, stress at work, control at work and working
conditions.
