The University’s iLabs are enjoying continued success
as lead partner in a project supporting the creation and development of
iLabs and iLab facilitators in Europe.
Last month the Essex team visited Romania to formally
launch a new iLab at the Executive Agency for Higher Education and
Research Funding in Bucharest. As well as leading a meeting, Julie Jones,
Zoe Manning and Matt Softly spent time mentoring Romanian iLab
facilitators.
Julie said: ‘The new facility in Bucharest is
excellent and, as iLab facilitators, we found it easy to use. The Romanian
partners are now fully equipped to run their facility to its full
potential’.
The project reaches its climax in November with the
first international iLab Conference at the Institute for Sustainable
Technologies in Poland. This will bring together iLab experts and see the
launch of the iLab ‘good practice guide’.
