Students CV success

Three second year Biological Sciences students have been rewarded for preparing excellent CV's as part of training in employability skills.

The exercise, for all Year 2 students as part of their year assessment, was led by the Careers Advisory Service and staff in Biological Sciences. Each student prepared CVs and wrote specimen letters of applications for jobs. They were joined by representatives from Anglian Water and Essex County Council who shared their expertise in preparing job applications.

The students had their CVs assessed in key areas including skills reflection, research, and overall presentation, and found the session very valuable. One student commenting that; 'The information that was obtained today will help all of us students forever…. when seeking employment.'

The winners were Alison Durant, Aishling Duggan and Jack Alonby who were each presented with gift tokens donated by the Matchtech recruitment agency.
