Successful summer for conference division
The newly established Hotel and Conference Division has
had a busy and productive summer.
Created by the merger of Wivenhoe House Hotel, the Conference Office
and the iLab, the new division is a good opportunity to enhance the
University’s conference and event service by offering a ‘one stop shop.’
All three venues welcomed a variety of visitors. Events included a
family fun day for Colchester Borough Homes and a World Cup function for
local company Aceville Publications. Wivenhoe House welcomed several group
stays, including television companies ITV and IWC, both filming in the
area, the Great Britain under 20 basketball team, and the Cottage Garden
Club from Australia.
