Summer school on computational finance
and economics
The Centre for Computation Finance and Economic Agents (CCFEA)
will be hosting a Summer School in September on 'New Trends in
Computational Finance and Economics'.
The Summer School takes place at the University's Colchester Campus
from 3-7 September and offers academics, Post Docs, PhD students and
experts from the finance and banking industry the unique opportunity to
hear about the latest trends in computational finance and economics. Split
into three modules, participants will learn about:
* new paradigms in optimization and how to apply them in financial
management;
* the latest approaches in volatility modelling and volatility trading;
* agent based economics and how to use it for market simulations, systemic
risk analysis and strategy design.
Each day consists of four or five sessions of lectures and
demonstrations, followed by an evening hands-on session. Participants will
benefit from the expertise of CCFEA faculty and distinguished external
speakers.
For further information about the event, please see
website.
Fees are £125 per day for University staff and research students and
include handouts, morning and afternoon refreshments and lunch. Full
payment will be required for tuition fees and accommodation at the time
booking. To register, please contact
Lynda
