Web and Learning Technology (WaLT)

In September 2012, Web and Learning Technology (WaLT) was restructured as follows.

Web Editing and Digital Media (WEDM)

This is a new team, based in Communications and External Relations (CER). WEDM is responsible for the strategic development and management of the University's use of the web and related digital media. The team has editorial control of the University's web presence, including the direct editing, content production and development of central corporate web pages, overseeing a team of devolved web authors, and monitoring and developing the University's presence on external websites; the team also takes the lead on the University's social and rich media activities.

Keith Brooke (formerly WaLT manager) now manages WEDM as Deputy Director of CER (Web and Digital Media). Josie Evans, Carolina Bailey and Chris Coates are all part-time web editors covering the interim period while recruitment for long term positions takes place. It is expected that WEDM will reach full strength in early 2013.
