SharePoint Designer and FrontPage training for web authors
Note: the Introduction to FrontPage course is in the
process of being replaced by a SharePoint Designer course, as the latter
is now the supported Microsoft web authoring package.
Please don't confuse this with SharePoint itself - SharePoint
Designer is different. It's for editing websites. Goodness knows why
they do this...
Course dates:
For the schedule of courses, please see the
ISS
training web pages.
Course Description:
The SharePoint Designer courses are for members of staff, last approximately two and a half hours, and serve as a brief
introduction to the program. Subjects covered include importing files
into a website, managing your website, an introduction to cascading stylesheets (CSS), and creating and editing
web pages.
Demand for these courses is always high, so it's a good
idea to book as early as possible. Members of staff who wish to be added to the
waiting list for this course should e-mail Web
and Learning Technology (walt@essex.ac.uk) or
join the waiting list online
(password protected).
An online
guide to using SharePoint Designer is also available to provide support for those
already using the program, or moving to it from FrontPage.
