How to apply - Applying online

The benefits of ucasapply

  • The web based application system is easy to use and can be accessed anywhere there is an internet connection;
  • It can be used by students in centres and by those applying independently;
  • Support and advice is available from www.ucas.com or directly from UCAS;
  • Common mistakes can be prevented or corrected immediately;
  • The information and data used in the system is the most up-to-date available;
  • Students can practice online as much and as often as they like, as changes can be made to their application at any stage before their adviser sends the completed application to UCAS.
  • Students can complete their applications in their own time as long as they have access to the internet.
  • Personal statements can be prepared in advance in a word processing document and copied and pasted into the application;
  • Applications can be tracked by advisers.  This means that they should not be late for important deadlines;
  • References can be prepared in advance and pasted into the application when it is ready.
  • Online applications are processed within 24 hours, compared to up to three weeks for paper; and
  • Secure online payment option is available.
