We provide the best possible services to our students, with many of our
outstanding facilities also open to the public, including our Day Nursery, Print
Essex and Sports Centre.
Businesses and organisations can also take advantage of our excellent
conference, meetings and event facilities. Our newly refurbished Wivenhoe House
offers another unique venue for hosting functions.

Accommodation Essex
Our high-quality student housing is delivered at our campuses in Southend and
Colchester by Accommodation Essex. We aim to
provide students with a safe and secure place to live where they can get the
most out of their time at the University.
Our University accommodation is available to conference, business and
leisure guests during the summer vacation.
Day Nursery
Excellent childcare is offered throughout the year by our
Day Nursery. We aim to support the working parent and our nursery is open to
staff, students and the public.

Working in partnership, the University of Essex and the Students’ Union have
recently opened everythingEssex at
our Colchester Campus and online. The shop sells a wide range University of Essex
and Students’ Union memorabilia, gifts, clothing and other souvenirs.
Hospitality Essex
We pride ourselves on our professional and courteous customer-led service to
students, staff and visitors at our cafes, restaurants and food outlets. The
cornerstone of Hospitality Essex is offering
nutritious, value for money food while treating our customers and staff with
respect.
Print Essex
We work with internal and external clients to deliver high-quality print and
design services. Print Essex is
a one-stop shop offering, design, copy and print services at competitive prices
to all customers.
University of Essex Sport
Students, staff and local residents can all use the excellent facilities and
take advantage of the wide range of great value opportunities at the Sports Centre at our Colchester campus.
Venue Essex
We offer impressive conference, meeting and event
facilities in Colchester and Southend through
Venue Essex. Our services are
available to both business and public sector organisations.
Wivenhoe House
Wivenhoe House is a glorious four star country house hotel that
is the perfect setting for overnight stays as well as for meetings and functions,
offering guests somewhere to dine in style, relax, work or rest. It is also the home
of the Edge Hotel School, which provides Wivenhoe House with aspiring professionals
and industry leaders full of cutting-edge ideas.
