Payment of tuition fee deposits
Information for overseas postgraduate students and International Academy undergraduate students
In accordance with University of Essex policy, you are required to pay a non-refundable tuition fee deposit before you will be assigned a Confirmation of Acceptance of Studies for a Tier 4 Student Visa.

UK and EU students may use the online payment facility to pay tuition fees.
How much is my deposit?
The minimum deposit is one term’s fee of the annual tuition fee for your course of study
Overseas Postgraduate students will see the annual fee and the minimum deposit required in their
myEssex applicant portal.
Online payments
You can pay your deposit online, below, using a credit or debit card. You may make several smaller payments to the total value of the minimum deposit.
