Transitional Justice Network research

Data archiving and analysis

Research area chairs: Elisabeth Bishop, Data Archive and Todd Landman, Government

The TJN believes that the management, analysis, and archiving of data are crucial in creating infrastructures to enable Transitional Justice. They provide the foundations and evidence for accounting and remembering the past and have the potential to contribute to restoring the human dignity of victims.

Research in this area will provide information about different local justice mechanisms, truth commissions and processes of memorialisation. Additional areas of investigation may include strategies for research data management, digitisation, dissemination, and preservation.
