Jane practiced as a solicitor before her appointment as Lecturer in Law at the University of Essex in 1991. She teaches on the Common Law II - Tort, Criminal Law and Medicine and the Law undergraduate modules, and the Comparative Public Law and Human Rights option for the LLM in Public Law and the LLM in International Human Rights.
