Religious Life
The University of Essex is a secular institution and does not give preference
to any one religion or belief over any other or to people with no religion or
belief. The University recognises that a wide variety of religions and beliefs
are represented on campus and will seek to ensure the availability of facilities
and opportunities for worship for staff and students.
All faith provision supported by the University is multi-faith. The
Multi-Faith Chaplaincy Centre
(MFCC) has links with a number of Chaplains and religious representatives.
There are
facilities for prayer or quiet reflection at the Colchester and Southend
campuses.
