Course Fees
There are different fee payments for Summer School participants: the fee for participants from non-academic institutions, and the discounted fee for participants from academic institutions. The tuition fees are as follows:

Mannheim Course Fees
Please apply for all Mannheim courses here.
Participants are required to pay a tuition fee depending on the package chosen for participation. This fee covers the courses. We charge additional £420 for accommodation in a nearby hotel.
RFA £1250
A complete package, consisting of Refresher, Foundations Course, and an Advanced
Module of your choice.
FA £1000
This package includes the Foundations Course and one Advanced Module of you choice.
RF £850
This package includes the two-day Refresher on Math and R as a programming
language and the five day Foundations Course covering Game Theory and
Statistics.
F or A £700
Participation in the Foundations Course or a single Advanced Module is available
on request.
Please note that travel costs are not covered by the tuition fee. Participants have to make travel arrangements individually. For questions and assistance regarding the travel please contact the EITM Europe Organization team.
Examples:
- Academic rate – one 35 hour courses: £1000
- Academic rate – two 35 hour courses: £1800
- Non-academic rate – two 35 hour courses: £2500
Fees include the cost of all essential course support material.
Application Procedure
Applicants should complete the
on-line application. The completed application
should reach this office by 1 May, 2013. Any applications received after this date will be subject to a £50 surcharge. We recommend early applications since courses fill up quickly.
Applicants need to check our website for up-to-date information on course availability. We cannot guarantee the availability of campus accommodation for applications received after 1 May. In these cases applicants may have to make private arrangements for accommodation.
Applicants will be sent confirmation of their course and accommodation booking together with an invoice. Full payment must be received by 1 June, 2013.
Making Your Payment
On receipt of the application, the Summer School office will send applicants an invoice for the amount due. Full payment must be paid by 1 June 2012. Places on courses cannot be guaranteed if payment has not been received by this date.
There are four options for payment: on-line payment, cheque, credit card or bank transfer:

It is now possible for all participants to pay on-line for their tuition fees
only. To access this payment facility enter your participant/Invoice number and you will be directed through the payment process. Your participant/invoice
number is the last four numbers of the number in bold on the right top side of
your invoice e.g. DLSSS0_1024 (4 digits) simply type these last
4 numbers into both boxes.

- Cheque:
- UK participants can make payments by cheque made payable to the "University of Essex". Please ensure that payments made via this method are accompanied by the participants' name.
- Credit Card:
- The University Bank will accept VISA, MASTERCARD, and EUROCARD. Complete all sections and return this authorization form.
- Bank Transfer:
- This form of payment can incur extra charges both in the country of payment and again in the UK. A direct bank transfer can be made to the University of Essex at Lloyds Bank. Please ensure that full details of (1) name of participant and (2) reference "ESS/DLSSSO-1065" are included in all correspondence. Please pass this information to the Finance Department at your institution if they are processing your payments.

Cancellation Policy
- Cancellations made prior to 1st June 2012: full refund less an administrative charge of £50.00.
- Cancellations made between 1st June and 1st July 2012: refund of fifty percent.
- Cancellations made after 1st July 2012: no refund to be made.
- Registered participants on courses cancelled by the Summer School organizers will be entitled to claim a full refund.
