Admissions answers for EU and international applicants

What are your entry requirements for me?

We welcome applications from students educated in other European countries and elsewhere in the world. We are happy to make offers of admission based on the International or European Baccalaureate, or on other qualifications considered equivalent to our general entrance requirements. Our typical offer for each course is shown on our course finder, which you can use to find the course that is right for you!

English isn’t my first language. How can you help me?

We expect you to be able to understand and express yourself in both written and spoken English. If English is not your first language, you need to meet our English language requirements and your

English language ability may be assessed at the start of the academic year in October. This helps us decide if you need to follow our free-of-charge language course in your first term.

How can I improve my English before starting my course?

We offer full-time English language courses which may be taken as a preliminary to your degree-level study. You can find out more from our International Academy.

I need a visa to study in the UK. What are the requirements?

If you are a national of a country outside the European Economic Area, you will normally need to obtain a student visa under Tier 4 of the UK Border Agency’s Points-Based Immigration System to study in the UK. You can find out more about the requirements for obtaining a visa from our immigration advice web pages.
