What is Proficio?
Proficio is for postgraduate research students. It is the central point for information on how and
where to find courses and resources to contribute to your study and career and personal development. It
includes everything available across our campuses to help you develop your research skills, manage your PhD,
develop your career potential, and meet and collaborate with students and staff. The wide variety of topics reflects
the national Researcher
Development Framework.

Overall responsibility for Proficio rests with Dr. Tom Scotto, the Associate Dean of the Graduate School. He is the point
of contact for sharing ideas concerning the development of short courses, the need for specific training to be offered, and
concerns about offerings to Doctoral Students. He welcomes e-mail from doctoral students and their supervisors.
Across the University there are also opportunities for developing language skills, studying abroad, and enhancing your
professional and personal skills and you will find links to these on these pages as well.
