Part-time study

Can I study part-time?

Most of our taught courses are available as part-time study to Home and EU students and those international students with the necessary immigration status to do so. More information is available on our course finder. Our part-time tuition fees are proportionate to the full-time rate.

How does part-time study work?

Part-time study is normally undertaken on a half-time basis, with your programme completed in twice the duration of the full-time equivalent, eg 24 months for a Masters. There is no fixed pattern for the teaching of part-time study and attendance requirements may vary in volume and timing, from year to year and from programme to programme. Several of our taught courses can be studied on a modular basis, whereby the total volume of credit for the award is accumulated over an extended period (up to six years for a Masters course).

If you wish to study part-time, you will be asked to select this on your application form.
