Student Ambassadors
Big essex Award
The Big essex Award is a brand new employability award run by the Employability and Careers Centre. Log your
extra-curricular experience hours, add a little volunteering, and we’ll help you identify evidence and effectively sell your skills.
Student Ambassadors are current students who help to promote the University and higher education.
As a Student Ambassador you can get involved in a whole range of opportunities to support the work
of the University. In particular Student Ambassadors help our Student Recruitment team and Outreach team.
This includes supporting visit days, open days, campus tours, higher education fairs, school talks, clearing,
campus visits and summer schools.
Student Ambassadors are normally recruited each year at the start of the Autumn Term (October) at both our
Colchester and Southend Campus.
Those working with the Outreach team also provide help and advice about the different options available to
those wanting to study at Higher Education in general.
