Government support for undergraduates
Maintenance Grant/Special Support Grants 2011 - 12
Full-time students from lower income households will be eligible for a
non-repayable Maintenance Grant/Special Support Grant which is worth up to
£2,906 a year. How much you will get will depend on your household income as
well as your year of entry onto the course.
Grants are payable in three instalments - one a the start of each term.
If you have an underlying eligibility for welfare benefits your grant
will be called a Special Support Grant and will be completely disregarded as
income for benefit purposes.
Full time students from lower income households may also be eligible for
the
University's Bursary.
