Sponsorship
Some companies offer to sponsor students and this is becoming an
increasing source of funding for students in certain study areas.
Predominantly companies tend to favour degrees which are science based such
as Engineering and Chemistry, but some firms will consider finance-related
disciplines like Accountancy and Business Studies. It is not as usual for
students in Arts or Humanities based studies to receive help.
Usually any financial assistance offered by a company will be accompanied
by work experience which students might be asked to undertake during their
holidays or after graduation.
