Student finance:

Government support for postgraduates

International students

A good starting point is to contact your own Ministry of Education or Education Department as they will have details of scholarship opportunities for students wishing to study overseas, and will be able to advise you on your own government's conditions for studying abroad. You should enquire in good time as most sponsors will have formal application procedures.

The amount of funding available will vary according to your country. Typically, you will have to demonstrate that your education will be of on-going benefit to your country and as sponsor, your government may only fund studies in specified subject areas. Most students who are in receipt of government sponsorship will receive support for both tuition fees and living expenses.
