JUST PLAY FOOTBALL TOURNAMENTS

Alumni Weekend 7-a-Side Football Tournament 2013 (Outdoor)

Format: Teams will consist of 7 players with 3 substitutes being allowed. Matches are played on full-size pitches.

Entry Requirements: Entry will be restricted to 24 teams.

Further Information: All players (names in full) in each team must be registered on the entry form.

Entry is FREE to all gold, silver and bronze PASSPORT TO SPORT HOLDERS

Student/alumni non member £3.00 per head. Staff non members £ 4.00 per head.

All teams must be entered by 3.00pm on Thursday 2^nd May.

Date: Sunday 5^th May – 12.00pm start.

Ivor Benveniste 5-a-Side Football Tournament

DATE: Sunday 2^nd December. Teams must register by 11.45am. The first game will take place at 12.00pm.

VENUE : Synthetic turf pitches.

FORMAT: The above competition is organised on a four league basis with 4 teams in each league. The top two in each league will then qualify for the K.O. stages.

ENTRY REQUIREMENTS: Players may only play for one team in the whole competition. No more than 10 players are allowed in a squad. All players must be named on the entry form. The organiser must be informed of any changes to the squad prior to the tournament.

Teams found breaking these rules face disqualification from the tournament.

Outdoor 6-a-Side Football Tournament

DATE: Sunday 17^th March – 12.00pm start.

FORMAT: Teams will consist of 6 players with two substitutes being allowed. Matches are played on full-size pitches.

N.B. In the event of fading light, semi-finals and/or final may be played on the synthetic pitch. Please ensure you have correct footwear for the synthetic pitch.

Indoor 5-a-Side Knockout Football Tournament

DATE: The competition will run on Monday 29^th April (2-4pm), Tuesday 30^th April (1-3pm), Wednesday 1^st May (2-4pm), Thursday 2^nd May (2-4pm) and Friday 3^rd May (2-4pm).

FORMAT: The above competition is organised on a knockout basis with entries restricted to 16 teams only.

A plate competition will be organised so that teams who lose their first or second matches in the main competition will enter the plate event at the corresponding stage. This guarantees every team at least two matches. Players may only play for one team in the whole competition. No new players can be added to the squad after the first game. No more than 10 players are allowed in a squad. All players must be named on the entry form. The organiser must be informed of any changes to the squad prior to the first match. Teams found breaking these rules face disqualification from the tournament.

ENTRY REQUIREMENTS: All teams will have to be able to play each day. If the competition is over subscribed teams will be drawn 'out of the hat' to confirm participation.

All players must be current students or staff.
