Just Play Indoor 6-a-side Cricket League

DATE: First match will be played at 2.00pm on Monday 21^st January

FIXTURES: The competition will be run on a KO or league basis, depending on entries, with teams playing on Mondays 2-4pm and/or Thursdays 2-4pm.

FORMAT:

·         Teams will consist of up to 10 players, 6 of whom will be nominated for each match.

·         Normal indoor Cricket rules will apply. See Sports Centre rule sheet on the Cricket notice board for details.

·         Players will be graded. No more than 3 graded players per team.  Please see below for those deemed graded players:

·         The number of teams will be restricted (probably 8 teams – therefore a draw will be made if more teams are entered).

·         For a game to be valid each team must have a minimum of 5 players, otherwise the team without sufficient players will forfeit.

·         Transfers between teams are not allowed after the 1^st game has been played.

·         If a team fails to show for one game or does not have the required number of players all their results will be null and void.

·         Sports Clothing must be worn by all players. NO Jeans or outdoor footwear.

·         Each team must nominate 2 umpires who may be called upon to umpire some of the games from the other group (s). Please mark the days for which they are available. Please feel free to nominate more than 2 umpires.

·         It is the teams and captains responsibility to arrange the umpires. Teams not supplying an umpire for other league matches will be deducted 2 points.

·         Players must be current students or staff of the university.

ENTRY REQUIREMENTS: Entry is restricted to current staff and students of the University.

Players may only play for one team in the whole competition.

Entry is FREE to all gold, silver and bronze PASSPORT TO SPORT HOLDERS

Student non member £8.00 per head. Staff non members £ 10.00 per head.

DEADLINE FOR ENTRY: All teams must be entered by 3.00pm on Thursday 17th January.
