Just Play

Just Play is our new social sport programme, funded through Sport England as part of the Active Universities initiative that aims to encourage more people to get involved in sport.

Drop In Sessions

Throughout the year we will be holding drop-in sessions which are open to students, staff and public (no need to book) which are £1 to non-members and free for Passport to Sport members. The sessions will be held on Tuesday evening and weekday lunchtimes. All sessions will be coached by our qualified student coaches. Participants who are not members will need to go to reception to pay the small fee to be allowed entry.

Leagues and Tournaments

We will also be running a series of Just Play leagues and tournaments. Entry forms are available via each League or Tournament page and will also be available in the Sports Centre and around campus. Completed entry forms must be returned to the Sports Centre reception where payment will be taken.

These events are open to students and staff only. To enter a League, there is a charge for non-members: £8 for students and £10 for staff. Again, entry is free to Passport to Sport members.

Tournaments will be chargeable at £3 or £4 for non-member students and staff respectively (and free to Passport to Sport members).

Coach Education

The Just Play Coach Education programme offers students a chance to obtain funding to attend coaching or officiating courses.
