Evolve Gym - Colchester

Our new £1.4 million Evolve gym and fitness studios are designed to inspire and motivate you in keeping fit.

The Evolve gym offers 130 state-of-the-art fitness stations in a light, spacious and fully air conditioned environment.

The design of Evolve follows a fitness journey – cardiovascular (CV), resistance and free weights– suited to anyone whether they are a complete beginner or a seasoned athlete.

Our experienced staff offers all new members a group induction of the gym. One to one inductions programmes can be arranged with one of Evolve’s team of experienced instructors.

Personal training is also available.

Membership prices reduced for students

Passport to Sport prices will be reduced for new student members from 3 January 2012 for the remainder of the academic year. Please refer to the membership page for more details.

Cardiovascular (CV) – Our cutting edge CV machines are designed to motivate you. They come complete with personal screens with options to watch TV, listen to the radio, or, via your iPod, watch a video or play your own music.

A ‘virtual trainer’ on many of the machines helps you map and meet your goals as well as giving motivation and feedback on progress. Use the link below for more details.

Resistance – our resistance area features two areas of equipment to help train the whole body

Free weights – usually a smaller part of many gyms, our showpiece free weights area is designed for use by everyone and forms a key part of any workout.
