The 2010 Sports Awards Dinner

The University held its 33rd Annual Sports Awards Dinner, at the Weston Homes Community Stadium on Friday 14th May, 2010.

Sports Awards Winners 2010

This is a formal occasion and is one of the highlights of the University's sporting calendar.  Members of the University’s senior management team and local dignitaries attended, including the Registrar, and the Deputy Mayoress of Colchester.  204 people attended to honour over sixty students receiving their Sports Award Colours in recognition of three years of dedication to University sport.  Other presentations also made were:

This year's guest of honour was Hannah Stodel, a sailor since the age of three who will be embarking on her fourth Paralympic Games in 2012.  Hannah held a question and answer session at the dinner and answered an array of questions from the floor.
