Fitness Courses
To complement our aerobics programme, the Sports Centre runs a number of
fitness courses throughout the year. Each course is in the region of 4-8weeks in
duration and will be advertised at the Sports Centre & on the website when
available.
Places are limited and courses fill up quickly - visit Sports Centre
Reception or telephone Reception to book your place.

6 Week Courses- coming soon in the Spring Term
The Sports Centre runs courses
for Yoga, Piloga & Tai Chi. These are:
*FREE to Gold & Silver Passport to Sport members
*£39 per 6 week course for Bronze members &
non-members
*Places are limited & booking is essential - Gold members can book on
up to 14 days in advance of the course starting, Silver 10 days, Bronze 7 days,
and non-members 3 days
*Please ensure you can make all 6 weeks, registers will be taken at each
session.
Yoga
An introduction to classic yoga for physical and mental well-being. The
sessions will practice yoga postures mindfully, building strength & flexibility,
and develop breathing exercises and relaxation/meditation techniques to improve
concentration and clarity of mind.
Piloga
Combines Pilates & Yoga exercises to develop core strength, tone &
flexibility as well as promote focus & relaxation. Please bring a blanket/large
towel for relaxation at the end of the session.
Tai Chi
An introduction into Chi Kung (a standing meditation), a set of basic
breathing and relaxation exercises and a short Tai Chi form. This is a very
basic course & ideal for total beginners of any age.
