Memberships, payment options and how to join

Membership Options Aug 2013

Student memberships are valid until 30 September (available to University of Essex or South Essex College students).
Staff and public memberships are valid for 12 months from the date of purchase. There are several options to choose from depending on whether you want peak or off-peak time access and which contract you want to sign up to, as shown in the table above. Staff will also have the option of signing up for the salary sacrifice scheme which is newly introduced this year. More details will be shown here as soon as they are available.
Peak membership will give you access to Evolve Southend and aerobics classes during opening hours. Off-peak membership will give you access at restricted times.
There may be additional charges for specialist classes. Prices quoted do not include access to Evolve Colchester.

There are various options, available via Evolve Southend Reception or online.

Students
- You can purchase annual or two-term memberships by making a one off payment online or via Reception.
- If you would like the convenience of paying for your annual or two-term membership by Direct Debit, this option is available to set up at Evolve Reception. You will need to have a UK bank account in order to take advantage of this scheme.
Staff & general public can pay for their membership by making a one off payment online or via Reception. Alternatively, a monthly Direct Debit option is available for 12 month or rolling contract memberships. Please pop into Evolve to sign up.
NEW FOR 2013: Salary sacrifice scheme for staff This scheme is now available and allows you to give up part of your salary in return for payment of fees by the University, subject to meeting the eligibility criteria. Further details on this scheme, including frequently asked questions and terms and conditions can be found in the 'How to join' section below.

Online (students) Annual memberships for the new academic year are available for new University of Essex Southend students and SEC students on Essex validated degrees now.
Direct Debit memberships (students) For University of Essex Southend and SEC students are available for purchase from Evolve during the autumn and spring terms only.
Online (staff and public) Annual memberships are available for staff and public to purchase.
Direct Debit memberships (staff and public) Monthly direct debit memberships for staff and public are available to purchase on site at any time.
Salary sacrifice (staff) This new scheme allows staff to benefit from savings on membership of the Evolve Gym at Southend**
