Diamond Jubilee Celebrations

The Sports Centre will be closed on 4-5 June 2012 due to the Diamond Jubilee extended bank holiday.

The End - Friday 8 June 2012

Friday 8 June sees the unofficial student celebration in the Squares that marks the end of exam time, known as ‘The End’. While the University recognises that students want to celebrate the end of exams, the nature of this event, which is not under the control of the University or the Students’ Union, raises significant health and safety concerns.

To limit any potential damage caused to buildings and property during ‘The End’ buildings at Colchester Campus will start to be locked up from 3pm onwards by the Security Team, and staff are requested to leave offices by 4.30pm. We request that all offices, teaching rooms, catering outlets and so on are vacated by no later than 5pm.

The Sports Centre will open as usual on Saturday 9 June 2012.

The Sports Centre is closed on standard Bank Holidays.
