Seminars
and Workshops
CRESI has initiated a regular series of seminars and workshops as
a means of developing its research culture. These create a space
for discussion of ongoing research, but also enable people to test
out embryonic research ideas in a friendly and supportive context.
The CRESI seminar and workshop series is a collective forum for
agenda building through theoretical development and discussion of
particular projects, ongoing, planned, or dreamed of.
Collaborative
research within the Department of Sociology is strongly supported,
as is interdisciplinary research with researchers and staff in other
parts of the University of Essex.
There
are links between CRESI, the Institute of Social and Economic Research
(ISER), Health and Human Sciences and the Environment and Society
Centre in the Department of Biology.
Participation
of scholars from other institutions of research, both nationally
and internationally, in CRESI seminars is welcomed. To enquire about
making a presentation or taking part in CRESI workshops please
