University Skills Centre
Learning Resource Centre (LRC), Colchester Campus
Containing a wide range of skills resources, the LRC Colchester campus is an
informal study area situated off Square 3, in room
4.204. The centre is equipped with reference books, current
newspapers, general interest journals, skills training DVDs, study desks and
computer terminals linked to the University intranet.
Come to the LRC to browse, to borrow - and to book in with one of our
professional
academic skills advisors.
When is the LRC open?
Monday - Friday 09:00 - 17:00
Who can use the LRC?
All University students and staff.
How can I borrow materials?
Just bring along your registration card or staff ID card.
What help can the LRC advisors give me?
Advisors can give one-to-one help on all aspects of study skills, including
writing and English language.
Do you do proofreading?
No. For university guidance and protocols on proofreading of student
work visit the University
proofreading website.
Can I browse LRC materials on-line?
Not yet, but this facility is coming soon.
