How do I register?
Select the modules that interest you from the list below. Details of
registration sessions will be sent with your
English language assessment results.
How many classes can I take?
Generally, we advise no more than two classes per term.
Can I attend the first lesson, change my mind and attend a different class
later on?
Yes, but you need to be aware that some classes may fill up in the first
week.
Can I register for classes by email?
No. You must register after speaking to an IS Advisor at our registration
sessions.
Can I register for classes in Southend?
Yes. If you are studying at
Southend, you will have your own dedicated programme.
Can my family join the classes?
No. Families of Essex students cannot join the In-Sessional programme, but
they are eligible, free of charge, to join English Classes for Dependants of
International Students and Staff (ECDIS).

English language classes are run under the In-Sessional EL support programme.
Numbers following each class title will take you to a module descriptor from the
University Module Directory. For information on how to register, go to the
English language classes main page.
